Have you ever imagined how soldiers stuck in a minefield are retrieved?

The most dangerous part of walking in a minefield is by the time your leg is blown up you are already deep inside the minefield. All the guys who will attempt to rescue the soldier who has blown up his leg stand an equal if not bigger risk of blowing up their legs.

And now finally a Robot has been invented to rescue soldiers injured in the battlefield.

The Battlefield Extraction-Assist Robot (BEAR) has been developed for military search-and-rescue missions. The robot has hydraulic arms, which can lift the soldier like a baby and pull him back to safety. If the Robot steps on mines he has the capability to withstand the blasts with strong feet of steel. The Battlefield Extraction-Assist Robot (BEAR) is capable of moving a weight of 400 lbs, which is the max a soldier will weigh in battle rig.

The Battlefield Extraction-Assist Robot (BEAR) can move on uneven terrain and on steep slopes and do some great rock climbing. Thus lives of other soldiers will not be put to risk. Presently the Battlefield Extraction-Assist Robot (BEAR) works on a remote control. Improved versions will be capable of moving even without human assistance.
