Have you ever heard of a drip proof umbrella?
In places with heavy rainfall carrying of Umbrellas is absolutely essential. When you are out on the street the umbrella protects you. But when you enter your house the umbrella pours a few liters of water in your drawing room. People hang their umbrellas out in the courtyards or verandas to dry them. But, what about modern apartments, which do not have such places to dry your umbrellas?
Pro-Idee has come up with a new umbrella. Called the NanoNuno this umbrella is capable of drying itself. The canopy has a specially designed polyester surface. This repels the water droplets. A few quick shakes throw out almost all the water. Whatever water still remains on the surface does not drip. Thus this NanoNuno umbrella is virtually drip proof. You need not be ever worried about dropping water on the precious surface of your house or your friend’s carpet.
The technology behind this marvelous invention was taken from nature. Have you ever observed a lotus plant? The leaves of the lotus plant do not permit any water to stick on its surface. Even dirt particles are pushed below the surface of the lotus leaf. This inspired the company to develop a cloth which will have similar properties. After exhaustive trials they managed to achieve almost 90% success.
